You have a choice of over 60 countries. See the
list of countries that participate
in Rotary Youth Exchange. Many students select a country where they
have some ability in the language since long-term students must and
short-term participants may attend
school and most of the classes will be conducted in the language of
your host country.
Rotary districts annually send exchange students to all of the corners of the
world. These include European countries, Japan, India, members of the
Commonwealth of Independent States, most Central and South American
countries, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Indonesia,
Malaysia,
Singapore, and many African countries. Every effort is made to place students
in the country of their preference. Sometimes, however, a host country
may not have enough openings
available for the number of applicants or an applicant may fail to
meet the foreign
language proficiency requirements that are applicable to exchanges
to certain countries. |
