Rules and Conditions of Exchange
Long-Term Outbound Students

When students and parents participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program,
they must agree to comply with all rules and conditions of the exchange program.
Students and the parents of outbound exchange students must submit a signed
copy of the rules as part of the long-term exchange application.

They must also agree to ESSEX rules regarding outbound exchange students.
Failure to comply with either set of rules and conditions may result in the
immediate termination of the student's exchange.

Rotary International’s Rules and Conditions for a Long-Term Exchange are part
of the Long-Term Exchange Outbound Application. ESSEX’s rules and conditions
of exchange for outbound students are available for download on this website
or may be obtained through the Rotary Club sponsoring the exchange. The
outbound exchange rules are available in Microsoft Word format in the various
languages listed below.

If students or parents have questions or concerns about these rules, the concerns
should be raised with the sponsoring Rotary Club and district in advance of the
exchange. Additional rules and conditions may be required by the host club and
district in the other country. Again, questions or concerns should be raised in
advance of the exchange.

Inbound Students

Inbound exchange students must also agree to comply with ESSEX rules. Failure
to comply with ESSEX’s rules and conditions of exchange may result in an immediate
termination of a student’s exchange.

ESSEX’s rules and conditions of exchange for inbound exchange students are
available for download on this website or may be obtained through the Rotary
club sponsoring the student exchange. The inbound exchange rules are available
in Microsoft Word format in the various languages listed below.
