What is ESSEX?
Eastern States Student Exchange (ESSEX)

ESSEX includes 36 Rotary districts in the northeastern United States, eastern Canada and Bermuda. ESSEX manages the placement of outbound students into over 60 countries around the world. It also assists inbound students with matches within its participating Rotary districts.

Each year, the districts in ESSEX sponsor approximately 250 outbound (from the USA) student exchanges and 300 inbound (to the USA) student exchanges.

If you live in the ESSEX area and want more information about Rotary's student exchange programs, please call1-888-ROTARY-X and leave your name, address and telephone number. A local Rotary representative will contact you.

If you live outside of the ESSEX geographic area, we suggest you seek out a local Rotarian or Rotary club and ask for information and contacts. Your school counselor may be of help. Frequently, your Principal or Superintendent of Schools is a Rotarian.
