About ESSEX

Rotary International's Eastern States Student Exchange Program (ESSEX) organizes all Rotary student exchanges for 31 Rotary International districts, covering 16 states in the eastern United States, Bermuda, Quebec and New Brunswick, Canada. Exchange students study in a foreign high school, experience a foreign culture, live with one or more host families, learn a new language and may have the opportunity to travel.

Rotary's student exchange programs, which are staffed by committed volunteers, provide the opportunity for about 8,000 young people each year to spend an academic year abroad for little more than the cost of airfare.
